Who is it for?

Permaculture is for anyone seeking ethical, practical, do-able and sustainable solutions to current and future issues (food security, energy descent, disintegration of communities, destructive agricultural practices, loss of responsibility, society failure, etc.).

AlexiaAlexia Martinez

Permaculture Consultant, Designer & Teacher

Diploma in Permaculture Design
Cert. IV In Training & Assessment

Born on a suburban block complete with veggie patch, fruit trees, poultry, rabbits, and a gigantic compost bay, I went to live overseas as a young adult and worked in marketing, corporate training and personal development.

Certified and mentored by Rosemary Morrow in Australia, I completed my teacher's training with her in July 2011.

I am a new generation permaculture designer and teacher with a clear focus on regenerating the urban landscape in a way that reconnects city folks with nature and food.

I know all about the challenges of both strata-title apartment permaculture, as well as inter-generational family farming.

I am the mother of an incredible little woman (we all say that about our children, eh?) who loves ladybugs, dragonflies, compost worms and, at three years, knows what it a lacewing and another good hundred other animals! I am married to a wonderful man with whom I was able to get into this great human and social adventure (thanks!).
